For those in New Zealand, keep an eye out for Manawa Ridge Luxury Lodge on TV2 this coming Monday at 8.00pm.  We are one of the finalists in the ‘Castle of the Year’ on the popular TV show ‘My House, My Castle’. The Castle of the Year segment showcases homes around New Zealand which have been passionately built by their owners.

We have just secured the very last bottles in New Zealand of the 2006 Mount Ford Estate Pinot Noir, which we added to our underground wine cellar library “The Cave”.

Mountford Estate Winery in Waipara (Canterbury) is an exclusive export only winery, with beautiful Pinots. We hope you can join us to enjoy a glass or two!!

We have a focus on growing and producing much of the food for the Lodge right here on the property. Coromandel is famous for its home-grown produce and that is the way we like it too.

Today we cured and cold-smoked the wonderful hams of our free range farm pigs, they will be added to our collection in our wine cellar for further ripening.  This week the veggie garden has been nourished with lovely old compost, setting it up for spring planting.

We have just crafted an enormous table from a huge gum-tree slab, 4.5 m. long, accompanied with two beautiful old church pews. We’ve placed it close to the pond which features a waterfall and Carla’s sculptures.
